We all had a feeling it would be a big race. The Color Run draws sizable crowds wherever it is held.
But I’m not sure anyone was expecting 10,000 runners to show up for Tulsa’s Color Run last weekend.
Two things I’ve heard already: First, this particular race — based on attendance — is one of the city’s biggest.
Second, it sounds like the Color Run will be coming back to Tulsa next year.
A pretty great way to represent the city and its running community.

From the picture I thought everyone was on fire from the horrible heat we’ve been having already.
Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun. Try to stay cool out there.
Trying! I’m acclimating to it. 2 miles outside, then some time inside on the elliptical. I can’t let this heat chase me inside. No chance.
I hear ya. Went on a 10 mile ride this evening myself but it’s on a trail that is mostly shaded. I rode in the heat all last summer so it’s just a matter of getting used to it again. I can’t wait for fall again.
No kidding. I decided to skip my weekly group trail run tonight. Just didn’t want to bonk out deep into the trail system because of the heat. It was 104 when I took off, so I think I made the right choice. But I feel like I missed out. Really like those trail runs.
